Einstein said it: Everything is constantly evolving. So why are we still teaching acting classes as if nothing has changed in the last 70 years? At Anthony Meindl’s Actor Workshop in London, the long-held illusions that continue to keep actors in the dark about their creative process are being shattered. IT’S REVOLUTIONARY. It’s what you always knew acting courses in London could be: FUN, EASY, EMPOWERING.
If you want to get started on your acting career in London, submit a contact form so we can get you started with our program.
The first step to starting your journey with AMAW Studios is to take our Foundations Course, which is not an introduction to acting, but an introduction to how we work at the AMAW studio. Once you complete the course, you are eligible to continue with On-Going and Mastery Scene Study Acting Classes. We also offer Elective Classes in many locations that do not require the Foundations Course as a prerequisite.
Learn from the best of the best acting coaches and teachers. At AMAW London, our acting teachers are devoted to elevating actor training and developing an array of acting classes. Take classes given by Ian McGowan, Jim Rastall, Mitchell Mullen, Lucy Russell, Marshall Griffin, Madeleine Hutchins, Lachele Carl and Helene Maksoud.

NO substitutions, sense memory, becoming an animal (“I think I’m a dog. No, I think I’m a snake!”). NO repetition exercises or 8 hours of scene rehearsals with your partner who’d rather be at the beach. NO memorization (“Learn those lines, dammit!”), drilling objectives or imbuing objects with personal meaning (“This coffee cup reminds me of rainbows.”). It’s just you being your great self. Refreshing, huh? So how does it work? Come watch us work. It’s free and fun!
This 6-week class meets twice a week: one working class and one lecture/observation class. The course introduces actors to the fundamentals of the AMAW philosophy and our way of working. A major shift takes place during this period – faster and more tangible than any other acting program.
After graduating from the Foundations Course, actors are evaluated by their instructor and placed in one of three Phase Levels for ongoing, month-to-month instruction. At every level you will be challenged to explore story more deeply and discover more of who you are as an actor, creator, and human being.
Actors have mastered the fundamentals of the AMAW philosophy; they are producing professional level work in an environment which is provocative, instinctual, community-oriented and “ego-free”.
By using games, exercises and scene study you will learn AMAW’s unique approach to the craft of acting, resulting in simply listening and being present in the moment. Students and parents develop audition techniques that are casting room tested to improve your chances of booking the job! See Elective Class calendar for upcoming classes.

At Anthony Meindl’s Acting School in London, classes are made with your success in mind! The more you do it, the more insight you get into who you are and what you want your life to look like. With the best acting coaches in London, and a great acting studio space, Anthony Meindl’s Actor Workshop is just the step you need to take to start becoming the actor you want to be.
